PROPOSALS MANAGER
Power Generation - UK + overseas travel
Our client is a leading International Power Generation and Engineering Consultancy with numerous offices in the UK and worldwide. A vacancy now exists for a PROPOSALS MANAGER within the Generation Division.
The candidate should have an engineering background, with a minimum of five years experience of power generation, preferably in a consultancy environment. The role will be to manage and co-ordinate bidding activity for consultancy contracts for the Generation division of our client. The candidate will be degree qualified.
Key skills that will be assessed in recruiting for this position include:
- Knowledge and experience of power generation technologies
- Ability to deal comfortably with a large number of differing technical inputs
- Excellent ability in written English and its application in an engineering environment
- Ability to communicate easily with technical and non-technical staff
- Proficient in the use of Excel spreadsheets and web based applications
The role will encompass the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Preparation of Expressions of Interest, Pre-Qualifications and Proposals in accordance with company procedures;
- Development of bid strategy and detailed methodologies which address the client’s scope of work
- Review and follow up of market intelligence;
- Arrange and attend internal management review meetings;
- Work with the Generation management team to develop new business;
- Update and development of specific marketing related materials such as capability statements, experience lists, CV’s, project sheets and intranet/web based marketing information;
- Liaise with both internal and external clients and partner organisations.
